Below is our suggested packing list. We have a Hotel and Gear Crew who will take care of your gear for you and make sure it gets from one hotel to the next safely and securely. All you’ll carry during the day is what you’ll need with you on your bike.

Required equipment:

  • Bike (in mechanically safe condition)
  • Helmet (ASTM, Snell, ANSI or CPSC approved)
  • Two water bottles (one for water, one for electrolyte replacement drink)
  • Two spare tubes that fit your tire size
  • Tire irons
  • Bike pump (bike frame style or CO2)

Recommended equipment:

  • Bicycle multi tool
  • Bike seat bag (for your tubes, tire irons, etc)
  • Two additional spare tubes
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Camera/smartphone (WiFi is available at select spots along the route)

Recommended clothing:

  • Padded cycling shorts
  • Cycling jersey
  • Rain gear (C4C is a rain-or-shine event)
  • Leg warmers and/or arm warmers
  • Padded cycling gloves
  • Cycling shoes (with or without clips)
  • Extra jacket or fleece
  • An extra pair of comfortable shoes
  • Additional casual clothing
  • Costumes and silliness for Red Dress Day (or all three days, if you’re ambitious!)
